Milena Jesenska Fellowship for Journalists

The Milena Jesenská Fellowship program offers European journalists time off from their professional duties in order to pursue in-depth research on a topic of their choice at the IWM in Vienna. For the first time journalists from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey are also eligible to apply. Applicants are asked to relate their proposals to societal issues of European relevance and to one of the main research fields of the IWM. Additionally, this year proposals which focus on human rights are strongly encouraged. Milena Jesenská Fellowships are intended as an award for excellence and are directed towards experienced cultural journalists. Deadline for application is April 15, 2011.
