The Netherlands defines the following priority countries for bilateral ODA, although its grant-funded projects extend to additional countries.
Southeast Asia and Pacific Islands: Indonesia, Vietnam. South Asia: Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka. Eurasia and Central Asia: Afghanistan, Armenia, Georgia. Eastern Europe and Russia: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova. Middle East and North Africa: Egypt, Yemen. Sub-Saharan Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cape Verde, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mali, Mozambique, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia. Latin America and Caribbean: Bolivia, Colombia, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Suriname.
TVG Notes: (1) The Netherlands has also been aiding four conflict and post-conflict countries: Burundi, Dem Rep Congo, Sudan, and Kosovo. (2) The Netherlands’ will phase out its development relationship over the next few years with Albania, Armenia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cape Verde, Eritrea, Macedonia, and Sri Lanka.
