Sir/Madam,

International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) UNESCO
IIEP’s Training Programme in Educational Planning and Management
Candidatures for the 2011 session of IIEP’s Specialized Courses Programme (SCP)

The UNESCO International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP) is inviting candidatures for the forthcoming session of its Specialized Courses Programme (SCP) in Educational Planning and Management. This programme will be held in Paris from 21 February to 15 April 2011. I am pleased to send you herewith the Programme application form and a brochure, which gives details of the courses offered and the modalities of participation.

I should particularly appreciate your assistance in bringing this training programme to the attention of your Ministry of Education, as well as to that of other ministries and agencies or institutions in your country concerned with the training of educational planners and managers. To increase the access of women to this programme, we strongly encourage Member States to propose applications from female candidates.

Candidates who wish to participate in the Specialized Courses Programme can download the application form and brochure through IIEP’s website at http://www.iiep.unesco.org/. If they have difficulty in doing this, we encourage them to contact the Training and Education Programmes Team at [email protected]. Please note that applications and supporting documents should reach IIEP at least two months before the start of the (first) course selected by the candidate.

Furthermore, the Institute can accommodate only a limited number of participants to each course offered through this programme, and the IIEP Selection Committee, therefore, admits equally qualified candidates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

I should like to add that any help you can provide, with regard to identifying funding sources for fellowships to support the participation costs and living expenses of admitted candidates, would be most valuable.

I thank you sincerely for your collaboration.
Accept, Sir/Madam, the assurances of my highest consideration.

Mr Khalil Mahshi

Director, IIEP/UNESCO
