Taiwan Fellowship

The Taiwan Fellowship is established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the
Republic of China (Taiwan) to encourage experts and scholars worldwide to conduct research in Taiwan¡¦s universities or research institututions, therefore promoting mutual understandings. Eligibility

čFellowship recipients should be foreign professors, associate professors, assistant professors, or doctoral candidates, or research fellows of equivalent
level, in foreign academic/research institutions.
Applicants in the fields of social sciences, including studies on Taiwan, cross-Strait relations, Mainland China, the Asia Pacific and Sinology, are
particularly welcome. Awards :
čAn economy class roundtrip ticket flying the most direct route will be provided. Tickets will not be provided to recipients who are already in Taiwan,
R.O.C. čStipends are granted in the following two categories:
–Professors, associate professors, research fellows, and associate research
fellows: NT$60,000 (USD$1,850 or thereabouts) each month.
–Assistant professors, assistant research fellows, and doctoral candidates:
NT$50,000 (USD$1,535 or thereabouts) each month.
čThe minimum duration of fellowship is 3 months, and the maximum is 1 year.
čAccident insurance of NT$ 1,000,000 is provided.
