Grade 7: Salary ։28,839 – ։35,469 with a discretionary range to ։38,757 p.a.
Applications are invited for the post of James Martin Research Fellow at the Future of Humanity Institute. The post is available for two years from the date of appointment.
The Future of Humanity Institute is a multidisciplinary research institute. It is part of the James Martin 21st Century School, and is hosted by the Oxford Faculty of Philosophy.

The successful candidate will be expected to: develop and implement an independent program of research related to one or more of the institute’s focus areas; provide research assistance to the institute’s director, Professor Nick Bostrom; and to participate in examining and administrative duties for the Faculty of Philosophy as required.
Applicants must show potential for producing exceptional academic research and outstanding intellectual capacity. Applicants must be educated to at least Bachelor Degree level, and should have received (or be close to completion of) the degree of PhD (or equivalent), or attained a comparable level of publications. Academic discipline and specialization are open but should be directly relevant to at least one of the institute’s work areas.
