Three groups of Armenians

10/11/2005

Yesterday those Armenians that were interested in politics were following the parliamentary election developments in Azerbaijan: it was clear beforehand that the political party of Ilham Aliev (Eni Azerbaijan) was going to win. “Musafat” political party got most places among the opposition parties. Those Armenians that were not interested in politics were following the world championship of chess in Israel. Our team was playing with the team of Russia. It is a pity, but our team lost the game. But our chess players played one less game than the Russians, so they still have a chance to win. The other group of Armenians that were not interested in politics were following the soccer game of “Manchester-united” and “Chelsea”. “Manchester” won the game (1 : 0) and stopped the movement of “Chelsea”, which had won 40 games before that. The presence of Serj Sargsyan in Israel didn’t help our chess players, and the presence of Roman Abraamovich in Manchester didn’t help “Chelsea”.
