In deadlock

15/07/2012

According to our information, the authorities and national security services have appeared in a deadlock in connection with the case involved former foreign affairs minister Vartan Oskanyan and his Civilitas foundation. It is more than two weeks that no information has been published about that case and Oskanyan has not been called to be questioned either. Rumors say that the national security service does not have enough facts to prove that the foundation was involved in money laundry as they allegedly announced on May 25. Our correspondent talked to the NSS spokesperson Artsvin Baghramyan, who refused to give any comments about the case and said that as the investigation was confidential, he could not say anything. Currently the state incomes committee is checking up the archives and operations of Paradygma Armenia company, which is the accounting company for the foundation. The director of the foundation Salbi Ghazaryan told our newspaper that no significant violations had been found. She also said that in several days together with the foundation’s lawyer Arthur Grigoryan they would hold a press-conference.
