According tour information, employees of the state sector are complaining about the social assistance package proposed by the government. In 2012 the government decided to provide AMD132,000 to 120.000 employees of the state sector. Beneficiaries can use AMD80,000 on vacation, education and several other purposes. As the first vacation period has started, the beneficiaries want to receive their social assistance but they are faced with difficulties. The problem is that according to “a tradition”, people have to “do favors and give something” to their direct managers to approve the social packages. This problem is bigger and more evident in schools. Teachers of several schools of Yerevan complained to our correspondent saying that their directors do not give the social packages unless they receive something instead. Our correspondent asked the government to comment on this issue and was told that they would give comments in several days.
