Yesterday sociologist Aharon Adibekyan stated that by the order of the Free Fatherland party his organization conducted social polls on May 26-27 among 946 adults in 6 regional centers, 14 villages and 37 checkpoints of Karabakh. As a result of that, it was disclosed that the majority of the respondents would vote for the incumbent president Bako Sahakyan during the upcoming presidential elections. “NKR president Bako Sahakyan will win 30% of ballots, Vitali Balasanyan – 3,5%, Soghmonyan – 1,5%,” stated Adibekyan and added that 27,5% of voters is undecided who to vote for and 28,5% didn’t answer the question. 84,3% of the respondents said that they’d show to the polls to vote. To the question as to whether of the vote buying methods will work in NKR Adibekyan said, “If Bako Sahakyan has the majority of votes why would he give away money and Vitali Balasanyan hasn’t collected money to give away today.” Only in three communities citizens knew about Balasanyan’s nomination. Moreover, the sociologist is also sure that if Bako Sahakyan is elected then everybody will believe that he really received the majority of votes without vote buying and the use of administrative resources. “First, there are no big funds in that country, besides they wouldn’t give them away even if they had these funds. Sahakyan doesn’t make such decisions on his own. These decisions are made by a board. This is the difference of this country,” he stated.
