“The parliament has not been elected, but it has been formed and it was formed according to certain standards, and those standards are not good for me as a person and politician. It is very logical that after being elected MP of the fifth convocation of the National Assembly I dropped my mandate,” said the head of the Union of Politicians of Armenia Hmayak Hovhannisyan during a recent press-conference concerning his resignation from the parliament. Actually this politician understood that the mandate was not the thing that would make him happy only in a couple of weeks after the elections. Concerning the rumors that he had been obligated to drop his mandate and Ashotyan’s cue that “those who can’t cheat are usually the ones that are cheated” Hmayak Hovhannisyan said, “I have never been a cheater and one that can be cheated. If you think that being stabbed from back is the same as being cheated, it is your right.” Hovhannisyan said that he was stabbed from back by “the conditions”, but failed to say the surname of that “condition”.
