During a briefing held yesterday, head of the education department of the municipality Onik Vartanyan said that the state had provided 380 million drams in 2004 for the remodeling and construction of the schools of the municipality. This year, the budget provided 1.5 million drams and another 500 million was given within the framework of the social investment fund of Armenia. Two million drams has been provided for remodeling the schools and installing boiler rooms for the year 2005. Reconstruction is going on in 37 schools. There were 10 boiler rooms in schools until 2003; in 2004-another ten were installed and this year there will be 23 more boiler rooms.
