Yesterday ArmRusGazArd provided clarifications in response to our newspapers article published on May 31, titled “Russians wish to have the last 20% of ArmRusGazArd.” The clarification specifically reads,
“ArmRusGazArd in accordance with the license provided by RA committee on regulation of public relations, dated September 22, 2003 submitted its reports to the RA committee on regulation of public relations within the set dates. The official data and figures have been officially posted on www.psrc.am website. As of the publication of financial reports, this process is regulated based on 1st and second clauses of article 24 of RA law on accounting registration. According to this law, the deadline of declaration of reports is defined July 1. And the financial reports can only be declared after auditing – after the audit conclusion is issued. Currently the financial reports of ArmRusGazArd are at the stage of auditing. The auditing is done by Price Voter House Armenia CJSC, which is a branch of the top audit companies of the world. As of the 20% sale of the stocks of the company then the rumors about that are far from reality. At this point there are no such discussions on the agenda.”
168-Zham: Without having the wish of making this a topic of eternal discussions we cannot help showing a few details and clarifications in regard of this. The website of RA committee on regulation of public relations contains certain details but:
These are not date of financial-economic activities (the license demands this). Here we have data regarding the provision of gas. There are no other data.
The conditions of the license require that the reports be publicized through the media.
Probably due to entangled formulations it is not excluded that the demands of the license may be construed ambiguously. We also contacted ArmRusGazArd press service to get more details about this. If they provide more details and clarifications we’ll be satisfied. But they also responded that the reports are not ready.
As of the 20% sale of the company stocks then I agree this is not an undeniable fact but an opinion and rumors (still). The same rumors have been circulated around the fifth block of Hrazdan HES and later Iran-Armani gas pipeline. Let’s remember that back then these rumors were far from reality as well.
