How much they have changed

According to preliminary information, in the new parliament 45 out of the 69 MPs of the RPA faction are businessmen. Mostly their businesses are registered in the names of their wives, brothers or other relatives, but this does not change the things. In fact the above said means that Serzh Sargsyan’s promise to separate the state system from business has failed to come true. There are MPs involved in business activities among the MPs elected by the RPA’s both proportional and majoritarian lists. Yesterday RPA faction secretary Galust Sahakyan refuted this point in a conversation with us. “None of them is businessman. It is one thing to be a businessman, and another thing to be a share owner. Our proportional list mostly includes people that are famous with public speaking,” said Galust Sahakyan.
