In answer to a questions whether the ARF might be a part of the ruling coalition again after the upcoming parliamentary elections the head of the ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan said, “We want to increase our participation in the parliament so that there will not be any need for coalitions.” Concerning the RPA’s pre-election lists and the campaign slogan “Let’s believe in order to change” Hovhannisyan said, “I want to cry when I look at the RPA’s list. What can I believe in? We believe that there are kind and patriot people in the government but we do not believe that they will change anything. The Republican party has been in the government since 1995, and since 1999 it is the ruling party of the government, but people do not believe in them. When you look at their majoritarian list, you see that their vehicle is full of people that it is impossible to believe in.” The head of the RPA faction Galust Sahakyan commented on Hovhannisyan’s statement and others who say that the RPA’s list is not reliable and said, “They should cry about their lists. We have very good lists; there are no saint people in any lists anywhere. No one is an angel.”
