I know that everything has finished

The pre-election campaign has not officially started yet but as we have written before the campaign has started long ago, especially on the part of pro-government parties. Of course, they are doing it quietly and without specifying the name of any political power. An example is the movement entitled “I know”.

“I know” movement has started the second phase of their actions, which is more direct campaign. During the first phase they were informing people about their rights (for example, people were informed that now they can register their businesses online and they don’t have to bring certain documents for receiving a driving license), the second phase is literally praising the government. In other words, they are praising the work of the government. On different TV channels people speak their opinions and later they show statistics concerning achievements in different sectors.

It is the report of the government’s work. However, even if we have this in mind and try to stop this campaign, we cannot do it because in what they show people are saying things that even the most loyal people to the government would not say. For example, a young man spoke about the sector of production and said, “I know that during the years of the crisis the jobs were not cut down in our company; the production capacities grew and we started to export.” When watching this one wants to find money from somewhere and show on TV those people whose businesses suffered. It will not be difficult to find such people because even according to the official statistics the capacity of production slumped by 7.8%. Who has forgotten about the times when during the crisis the largest mining companies had so many difficulties that had to send their employees home for months? The workers were complaining. However, now it turns out that during the crisis jobs were not cut down and neither the production capacities have suffered. Should we believe in the advertisements or the statistics? Even if this guy’s business developed in a separate sector, this is not enough to speak like this about the entire economy. After this ad the voice told that during the past four years the state had support to invest 1.3 billion dollars in modernization and development of the sector of production.

There was coverage about villages, which was very interesting too: “During the past four years villagers received fertilizers, fuel, seeds and credits with low interest rates subsidized by the state”. There is not much to be proud of in the sector of agriculture. The sector of agriculture continued to slump even faster after the crisis too. The mentioned privileges were given to villagers not during the past four years but recently. There have been many discussions about the purposes and efficiency of such credits. In one of those videos an old man says. “I know that I will not overcome difficulties alone.” In fact no one overcome difficulties alone, just the fact is that those that help people are not always from the government. It is the vice versa because in practice usually people gather with their friends and relatives and try to solve their problems.

There was another video about culture. “I know that culture life has become more active,” says a young girl. Maybe she knows something about it.

Maybe the authors of these actions wanted to present their ideas in two phases – in the beginning they wanted to communicate what had been done, and in the second phase they wanted to inform what the results were. However, there is o logical connection here because statistics says more than mere advertisements and words.

They praise the improvement, as a result of which businesses can be registered online. If they praise this, they should also bring statistics showing that now there are more businesses as making business has become easier. If no, they’d be better not to speak about it at all. If yes, they’d be better bring statistics and show that there has been growth. The real number o companies being registered has not changed compared to the previous year.

If we compare this year with the previous ones, even the crisis year, we will see that since the adoption of the system of online registration of companies the real picture has not changed.

We can discuss each indicator separately in details, but let’s wait because the real campaign will start shortly. If the authors of such videos and ads want to be honest, they’d be better to make videos also in participation of the people that have left from the country or are going to. Definitely their slogan will be “I know that everything has finished…”
