Waiting for each other

Election campaign in Armenia officially started yesterday. Central Election Commission and Territorial Election Commissions already accept necessary documents for candidates’ registration to be appointed by proportional and single-mandate constituency. Parliamentary elections are scheduled on May 6. The applications can be submitted no later than March 22. As on yesterday only few single-mandate candidates submitted their documents. None of the political parties or party factions has yet submitted their documents to the CEC. Considering all the internal developments among both coalition and opposition parties, all the political parties will publish their proportional lists and the names of their single-mandate candidates at the beginning of the next week, in a better way or on the eve of March 22. That is to say, from yesterday onwards, at least the active layer of society will be living in expectations and intrigue. All those estimations that the upcoming elections are going to be crucial for Armenia will either be approved or denied by the election lists to be released on March 22. The entire process of the elections and the quality of the new parliament depend on the content of the election lists; or vice versa.
