“The principle for making a pre-election list should be the notion that elections should be used for changing the situation in the country. This should be the main principle in the ground of a list and people should know about it,” said Petros Makeyan, a member of the ANC and president of Democratic Fatherland party, concerning the discussions on the ANC’s proportional lists. “For example, the society should not know about the fact that there are problems with the lists in the Congress and these problems concern the mandates. It should be made clear to them that the Congress is acting for the purpose of changing the situation. This is the biggest psychological factor,” he said.
