“All we are liberals, the numerous people in our party are loyalists of liberalism. And we believe that in the political life of Armenia liberalism has stepped back,” said the president of Liberal Democrats party Khachatur Kokobelyan during a meeting with journalists. Meanwhile he said that the politicians that established the party had been in politics since 1991. “If we analyze the critical times in our new history since 1991, we will see that always people have spoken about liberalism, free competition, independent judicial system during all times but it has not existed,” said Kokobelyan and added that the ideology of liberalism would be represented in the parliament due to the Free Democrats party.
