Former foreign affairs minister Vardan Oskanyan has announced that the rumors on his involvement with the Prosperous Armenia party “were not baseless”. It turns out that Oskanyan believes that it is extremely important to have free and fair elections in Armenia and the country needs drastic reforms. Furthermore, he believes that such changes and reforms may take place in the parliament if new relations are developed between the political powers in the parliament. “This is the main reason for my political involvement. The rumors about my involvement with the PA are not baseless. I have had such discussions with the PA and other political parties as well. At this time I am not making a final decision and I think I still have time for such decision. But it is not excluded that the political processes in the country may make me come to my final decision fast,” said the former FM. According to our information, Vardan Oskanyan will be included in the proportional list of the Prosperous Armenia party and he will be the second person in the list after the name of Gagik Tsarukyan.
