Polish photographer and video operator Ireneush Sirenak lives and works in Denmark. He accepted the invitation of the culture minister of Denmark and founded a photo studio there. He performs the orders of the royal family of Denmark and makes films about Margaret Queen and Benedict Princess.

In the royal garden he takes photos of important occasions. Destiny is unpredictable and very interesting. After getting married with Rouzanna Siranek, he started to take photos in Armenia as well as study Armenian history. “He bought all the books and films that were about Armenia. Then he thought about how he could present the Armenian culture in Scandinavia”, -said his wife Rouzanna Vardanyan (painter and web site designer). Sirenak is a very attentive and romantic person. His pictures are very beautiful, peaceful and harmonic. He doesn’t like the films he has watched about Armenia. He says there is much noise in those films, and the music in those films is noisy. He took photos of Armenian Khachkars (cross-stones) when he visited Armenia last year. Then these photos became a film. He made his films about Armenia by himself. There are only pictures and the music of Jivan Gasparyan (Duduk) in his films. Since he cooperates with the Scandinavian TV companies, he wants to show his films there. “This is delayed because we have to get the permission of Jivan Gasparyan to show these films with his music”, – says Rouzanna. Now she shows these films for the visitors of their club “Vardanyan”. When showing the works of Armenian painters Rouzanna always tries to tell the visitors about the history of Armenia.

“Denmark is an organized country, everything has its place there. I pay 50% tax from each picture that I sell. These taxes let unemployed people live well. The citizens of Denmark understand that not only their building is their house, but also the streets of their country are their house, as well as their country. They prefer to be organized”, -said Rouzanna (she doesn’t live in Armenia for 13 years and has already forgotten the Armenian chaos). But walking in the streets of Yerevan is not difficult for Sirenak. ”The first two days it was difficult for me here, later I learnt how to make maneuvers in the flow of cars”, – he says. He speaks about Armenia with passion and hopes that his work will meet success in Europe. The group of artists ”’Vardanyan-Sirenak” does its best to reach this goal. “Few people know about Armenians in Denmark. There are even people who think that Armenians are Muslim. At first I got angry about these kinds of things, but then I realized that they were not informed about our country. Now we see that Europe is interested in Armenians, and we use this chance to present our culture and history in a duly manner. I want them see that we are a small country, but have a big potential”. This couple is ready to discuss issues concerning cooperation on the following web site: www.cyranek.dk . They also intend to show their pictures of Denmark in Armenia too. In this case there will be more “art bridges”. I.Sirenak wants to make portrait-films about Armenian artists.
