“It was a pretty good resolution. Now Samvel Babayan got what he had
always wanted: freedom. I think that president Ghukasyan was preparing
for that for a long time,” said bishop Parkev, who is the prelate of
the Artsakh diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church that helped bail
former minister of defense of the Republic of Nagorno Karabagh(NKR)
Samvel Babayan. “A man who has many investments and who finally got
freed from jail. This is a good thing. It is very easy to punish
individuals, but to pardon someone, one needs to have a lot of heart. I
think that the pardoning of president Ghukasyan was a great step,”
added prelate bishop Parkev.
