As it’s known the first RPA economic conference was for several hours broadcast on ArmNews TV channel. “7 Or” news agency tried to clarify from the general director of ArmNews Artak Alexanyan what was the principle of broadcasting the RPA conference. Did RPA pay for that? Or was it free? And if other political parties organized a similar event would it be similarly broadcast? Alexanyan responded that the broadcast was conditioned with the fact that this was an “exclusive conference.” “It was exclusive because the ruling party has never organized such an event. Secondly, this was not only the gathering of the ruling party but also the reporting of the economic policy of the government during the past three years. It means that here we also had the representation of the executive. This was our initiative and we wanted the society to be aware of this conference and what had been discussed within the RPA. They should have also seen the moderation of the Prime Minister and be aware of the reports of the government. It wasn’t a paid broadcast and neither was is a political broadcast,” he said. In fact, it turns out that RPA is first resembled with the government. Secondly, our TV channels wouldn’t mind spending several hours of their expensive time if for example the members of the feminist movement of Armenia decide to conduct a naked campaign for the sake of free and fair elections. Could it be any more exclusive? Especially people will watch it with more interest.
