Unpunished crimes

Something is wrong in Armenia. Something is wrong with the state, authorities, and what is worse, with the society. Crimes are happening which are punishable not only by the law but from the human point of view too. To understand this one can only read the criminal cases and stories of the recent days. A couple of days ago in an army headquarter a soldier aged 19 passed way in Martakert (the soldier’s name is Vladimir Asatryan). According to the official information, he committed suicide while being on service at the border defense point. On the same day, in Hoktemberyan city a young man had a conflict with his father and killed his father with a kitchen knife. After this crime that young man went to the police and confessed his crime. On October 7 a man had a conflict with his son and killed him with a knife. There was another crime, during which a 28 years old guy stabbed his father’s chest with a knife (on G. Nzhdeh street in Yerevan). This was only the number of crimes of one day. Every week there are horrible murders and maybe only psychologists know what the reason is. The problem is that the society is not healthy; it is sick. People have crossed the red line already and are governed by instinct. Such cases and indifference to such cases make it possible for others to rape children, and maybe the cases when parents try to justify the actions of those who raped their children as it happened with Serob Ter-Poghosyan who raped a girl. When we look at the soap operas and movies that are shown on TV and what moral values they spread, it becomes clear that this is the result of those values. Let’s remember what shocked our society and kept it in shock for one month and everything will be clear; the entire society was shocked and busy with the porn pictures of an actress for a whole month and people still have those photos in their phones.
