Yesterday, after long speculations the authorities finally made a decision to “semi-reject” the offer of the Armenian National Congress for continuing the dialog, having put the latter in an uncomfortable state. “We find it unacceptable to marring of the legal actions of the government, the politicization and circulation of the possible miscarriage of the dialog on part of the government. In the meantime, we hope that our colleagues within the ANC have realized that the only optimal way of solution of issues can take place around the negotiation table. We are sorry that so much time has been lost. In the meantime, we don’t think that in the event of the illegal protests of the ANC it will become productive to resume the dialog. We will await the completion of this illegal action, after which we will discuss the details of the meeting with our ANC colleagues,” stated the governmental delegation, which negotiates with the ANC. The assumption that the ANC appeared in an inconvenient state is that will midnight the ANC hasn’t responded to the statement of the coalition. What do we have now? Does the ANC hold the sit-in strike to resume the dialog with the government and does the government demand them to cease the strike to resume the talks. In fact, the ANC wouldn’t mind ceasing the strike but as the people say, “getting on the horse back is one thing, getting down is another thing.” ANC is now facing an important problem. How can they send the participants of the sit-in strike home to make sure they don’t “misconstrue” that act?
