People using underground passages of Abovyan-Koryun streets for trading purposes organized an action of complaint in front of RA president’s resident. The reason of complaint was the information they had acquired, according to which the City Hall of Yerevan decided to sell that territory by auction depriving them even of the opportunity to use the stalls in the underground passages for trading purposes. According to our sources the City Hall has already sold the territory of the underground passage by auction to the president of “HayRusgazard” CJSC, general director Vardan Harutyunyan. The latter was appointed for that post on January 26, 2011, when the former president of “HayRusgazard” CJSC, general director Karen Karapetyan was appointed as Yerevan mayor. There are 43 stalls in the underground passage, each stall having from 4 to 5 workers.
