It turns out that the slogan of the 20th anniversary (‘you are Armenia’) celebration of independence of Armenia is not the idea of PR managers but is borrowed from Germans. It is taken from the following German slogan ‘Du bist Deutschland’, which was used several years ago during international games. We were informed about this by German-Armenian PR specialist and scientist Vazrik Bazil. “By the way, in Germany people were not limiting with showing that slogan only. This slogan used to be spoken by workers, children, football players, etc. The point was that they wanted to say that they were the ones to be responsible for their country and that Germany was not the country of state head and was not abstract. We are Germany. I was simply surprised because they have translated the slogan of another country,” said Bazil. By the way, there were rumors about the incompetence of the PR managers of the authorities even during the presidential elections 2008. Experts were saying during the elections that the current president’s slogan “Forward Armenia” was the copy of Silvio Berlusconi’s “Forward Italia” slogan.
