Before starting the construction works of the “North-South” highway the RA government, represented by the ministry of transport and connection, announced a competition for the vacancy of the director of North-South Highway Construction Implementation project state non-governmental organization and the results will be finalized in the end of October. According to well-informed sources, PM Tigran Sargsyan is doing his best to support his cousin be appointed in this position. The reason is the fact that this is not a simple project as it will control huge amounts of money for Armenia. The total amount of North-South highway is USD962 million, 500 million out of which has been provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
