The Armenian national football team beat Slovakia 4-0 in the Euro 2012 Group B qualifier match on Tuesday. Yura Movsisyan netted in the 57th minute after the Slovak defense failed to clear a corner kick for his fourth international goal. Henrik Mkhitaryan added the second with a low, long-range shot in the 70th that took Slovak goalkeeper Jan Mucha by surprise, The Associated Press reported. With the Slovaks desperately attacking, the visitors focused on quick counterattacks. Gevorg Ghazaryan scored 10 minutes before the end and substitute Artur Sarkisov finished the Slovaks off in injury time. When speaking to tert.am the RA soccer federation chairman Ruben Hairapetyan said, “We currently have a team, which is able to reach its goals and objectives. All the success was possible to big efforts as well as the high-level full attention of the society.” Hairapetyan told that President Serzh Sargsyan was the first to call and congratulate on the victory. “The President said that I should tell the soccer players that the President thinks that they are all heroes. There can be a better pride for the chairman of a federation. I am a very happy federation chair as I have a great team, coach, great fans and President,” said Hairapetyan. Ruben Hairapetyan promised 3 million Euros to the soccer players in the event if they win a tour to Eur0 2012. “A year ago I promised that if our boys win the ticket to Euro 2012 they will receive 3 million Euros,” said the chair of the soccer federation and added that the director of Kajaran Molybdenum Factory Maxim Hakobyan also called him and promised an award to the players. When speaking of Armenia-Macedonia game due on October 7 Hairapetyan said that the sale of tickets will be launched in a week. On his Facebook page Hairapetyan also responded to the questions of the readers. To the question as how much the price of tickets is going to be he said, “At the same price as the previous match tickets.” To the question whether there is possibility that the match will take place in Hrazdan stadium instead of Republican stadium Hairapetyan said, “No, it won’t be possible to prepare a stadium within a month.”
