“I am a supporter of an anti-Russian revolution and starting from 2013 I will do my best in Armenia to make a color revolution happen in order to get rid of such people and mentality,” said the coordinator if the National united initiative coordinator, former political prisoner Shant Harutyunyan concerning the dialogue between the government and opposition. “Now they are speaking of recovering the legitimate power in the country. I do not want to legitimize this authority in Armenia. If it is said that the authorities have the character of Mongol-Tatar habits of government and it is cleptocracy, how can it be legitimate? Should we make the world know that the nation has elected a cleprocratic government? I don’t want that happen. If they want that, they can go and support that process with their numerous votes,” said Shant Harutyunyan. He says that the authorities want to be re-elected without pressure and violence, thus they have agreed to enter into a dialogue with the opposition, as for the opposition, they say that the authorities should be legitimate and they should be elected legally. What they say is that this government is cleptocratic with Mongol-Tatar habits of government but they will welcome them f they are elected legally. “I am against any initiative to legitimize them. I am for struggling against such rule, thus I believe everything must change from the beginning till the end,” said Shant Harutyunyan. Concerning the possibility of by-elections Shant Harutyunyan said that if it happened, it would happen not due to the ANC but the negotiations on Karabakh conflict. “For the purpose of Karabakh conflict settlement Serzh Sargsyan will need to prolong the time, and if he is able to hold by-elections, he will win three months and will be able to hold presidential elections in the end of the year like Georgia did. In such situation of course he will be re-elected. As far as Levon Ter-Petrosyan is the opposition leader in Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan will stay on power,” said Shant Harutyunyan.
