“The European Union wants to increase its involvement in the issue of Karabakh conflict and is ready to provide necessary financial support to support the settlement of the conflict and restore the region,” said the commissioner on enlargement policy of the EU Eastern Partnership Stephan Fyule to Radio Liberty. “Currently we are investing more money in strengthening trust between the parties in Karabakh and Dniester. However, this is the first step yet. Brussels can do more because the powers of the EU foreign department have been enlarged, and there is also more desire and possibility to solve the problem,” said the commissioner.
