Eventually the authorities announced about establishing a committee for developing dialogue with the opposition. Even though the authorities call it an ad hoc, the meaning does not change. In order to negotiate with the ANC the governmental coalition has formed a working group consisting of 6 people, which nvolves two representatives from each coalition power (RPA, PA and LS). According to our preliminary information, this group will be headed by the head of the NA standing committee on state and legal affairs Davit Harutyunyan. It doesn’t matter who the other members are because none of them is a desired one for the ANC. Definitely it’s the reason why the ANC has appeared in a bad situation and has not officially responded to the authorities’ initiative to establish a commission. On the one hand, the ANC really needs this dialogue, and on the other hand it is not confertable for them to dialogie at the level of, for example, Gagik Minasyan or Mher Shahgeldyan. However, it seems that the ANC does not have an alternative. In fact the alternative is to do some action but the ANC does not have the necessary resources for that. Thus, the solution for the ANC would be to say that it is an achievement that the government has established the mentioned commission and start dialogue with it. Notwithstanding their decision, it is a good option to save time till September.
