ANC still believes in revolution

“We are discussing in the congress what we will do; we will make our decision these days,” said former PM Hrant Bagratyan to our newspaper in answer to question what the opposition ANC force is going to do in answer to the president’s announcement. During the rally on April 28 Hrant Bagratyan announced that by offering dialogue the authorities want to attract the opposition into a swamp. Has the potential dialogue appeared in a swamp or deadlock after Serzh Sargsyan’s announcement? “My opinion is that the congress should work as a forum in order not to be cheated. The congress should ask people what they want to do and do what the people want. This is what the ANC is trying to do. I do not agree with straying from this line and with unjustified optimism. I am trying to be cautious,” said Mr. Bagratyan and added that he believed the processes would end up with a revolution. “The ANC has announced that we want a process when the opposition enables the authorities make evolution changes and they do. But the authorities, starting from the president, are bearers of the modern values. Nobody is thinking of the future. Personally I believe the processes will result in a revolution,” he said. However, the ANC leader has numerously announced that revolution is unacceptable.
