Will the Russian GazProm increase the price of gas supplied to Armenia? If yes, how much? Currently Russia takes 180 dollars per 1000 cubic meters of gas. The spokesperson of ArmRusGazArd company informs that there are not agreements over the price yet and currently the parties are negotiating for that purpose. However, it is for sure that the GazProm wants to increase the price. The main reason for this, according to rumors, is not the wish of the Russian company but the ineffective work of the ArmRusGazArd company. Even though this company is a monopolist, in 2010 it had 11 billion drams resulting in growth of the debts by several dozens of dollars. If the Russian company is failing to get profits through the ArmRusGazArd company, definitely they can do it by increasing the price of gas, which is what the Russian company is planning to do.
