The dialogue between the Armenian National Congress and the government can be considered officially started. The authorities, represented by different politicians, have appreciated the announcement of opposition leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan about dialogue. This means that the authorities are accepting the rules of the game proposed by the opposition. The speaker of the parliament announced that the dialogue between the opposition and authorities was in the interests of the state and people of Armenia. Hovik Abrahamyan said he thought that president Serzh Sargsyan would agree for dialogue and organize it. In fact it can be considered as the government’s non-formal answer to the opposition’s formal offer. The formal answer will not be late either. It is clear that Hovik Abrahamyan would not express opinion on such important issue without having the agreement of the president. The other things are technical issues that are easy to solve. The important thing is the happy face of the government for this offer. Maybe this is the reason why Levon Ter-Petrosyan explained why they were going to change the phrases and terms used to describe the government. However, he did not say what they would do if they did not agree with the government’s offers and the government refused to do what they wanted.
