The political activists arrested as a result of the presidential election 2008 may be released till May 31. Such statement was made by the parliamentary speaker Hovik Abrahamyan following a joint press-conference with the president of the European parliament Jerzy Buzek. Hovik Abrahamyan said that it was possible that an amnesty might be announced. “However it is my personal opinion and this issue is under discussion in the president’s administration. I don’t know who will be included in that list. I think there will be amnesty, which will be sent to the parliament for consideration as well. Let’s not hurry; everything will be clear in one week. The most important thing is that the issue will have a positive solution.”
