According to the sources close to the Armenian National Congress the ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan has instructed the ANC leaders to covertly prepare a list of proxies in order to be ready for the possibility of upcoming by-elections for presidency. Under the current political circumstances this information mildly-said seems implausible. And it’s not excluded that it got circulated merely for advocacy purposes in order to inspire the participants of the rally of May 31. According to our information the ANC is currently preparing another list, which may be publicized during the May 31 rally. According to that an ad hoc committee is being established with the ANC, which should hold formal negotiations with the government after the official launch of the release process of political prisoners. According to our information this group will consist of one representative from each of the member parties of the Congress.
