According to the head of International Crisis Group Sabina Frazer there are no tangible results in the improvement of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. The increase of cases that happen on the boundary between the two countries during the last years testifies to that. According to the head of international crisis group, there is an improvement in Armenian-Turkish relations instead. “In spite of the fact that Armenian-Turkish border is still closed, Armenians and Turks are at least in a dialogue” It’s already a promising process, however there is no ongoing process at all in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations”, stated Sabina Frazer, noting that none of the countries is willing to start a dialogue, since the Azerbaijanis consider the Armenians as conquerors who occupied their country and Armenians say in their turn that Azerbaijanis attacked and killed them”. In fact the situation is much more negative than before. What should it be attributed to is a difficult question to answer” added Frazer. According to her the USA and Russia are concerned about the present situation. “Russia made great efforts to contribute to the resolution of the problem. Medvedev tried to solve the problem personally, but even that was no success” said Frazer, noting that in any case the work carried out by OSCE Minsk group aimed at the resolution of the problem is effective.
