“Any criminal case can be re-started if new conditions are coming out. Stepan Safaryan’s witnessing about the fact of spending the night of March 1 in Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s house can be a reason for instituting legal proceedings,” says the head of the ARF faction Vahan Hovhannisyan concerning the Heritage faction head’s announcement that when on the night of March 1 he suggested Levon Ter-Petrosyan to go to the place of the Myasnikyan monument, he refused and said that these were not his people. “If legal proceedings are instituted, this can result in new legal consequences. For example, according to Safaryan, Ter-Petrosyan refused the fact that those people were his followers. Ter-Petrosyan said that he was ready to go there and take care of people, but his security was not insured. There is a contradiction between these two announcements, and if legal proceedings are instituted to find out why wrong testimony was given, new conditions may come up. Both of them cannot be true,” said Vahan Hovhannisyan.
