The conditional releasing term for Ara Hovhannisyan would be in September, and as he has written a petition letter, it is more possible that he may be set free. The authorities have numerously said that if the prisoners resulted from the unrest of March 1 write a petition letter, they will be set free. The prisoners were refusing this for a long time. A. Hovhannisyan was out of Armenia and returned to Armenia before the elections in 2008. He is the son-in-law of the Republic party deputy president Smbat Ayvazyan.
