Yesterday the NA president Hovik Abrahamyan accompanied by a few MPs of coalition factions, visited the leader of “Heritage” faction Raffi Hovhannisian, who went on a hunger strike 12 days ago. They persuaded him to stop the hunger strike and return to the Parliament. The scene was really emotive from the point of view of humanity. Especially, when the person on hunger strike is visited by the representatives of the government, the Police serving to which do not allow the latter to set up a tent at the Liberty Square for over a week. However from the political point of view the visit of H. Abrahamyan and was incomprehensible almost to the same extent as the demands why Raffi Hovhannisian went on a hunger strike. Raffi Haovhannisian “generally speaking” demands change of government and the government “generally speaking” persuades him to stop the hunger strike. On the other hand, the government describing the hunger strike by R. Hovhannisyan as a PR, used it by their own PR, showing to the public not only their own humanity, but ANC leader’s, Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s inhumanity as well, who did not only call for stopping the hunger strike, but did not even greet the “Heritage” leader.
