Yesterday took place the rally organized by People’s Party near the Matenadaran. Before the rally, participants were given red cards with "the Lord’s Prayer" written on the reverse side. The participants commemorated the victims of the 1988 Sumgait pogroms and March 1, 2008, clashes with a minute of silence. The Leader of the People’s party Tigran Karapetyan urged the rally participants to show a red card to the authorities who have done no good to their people. Just at that moment the participants of the rally raised the red cards distributed by the party activists before the rally. This time, members of Sardarapat initiative group Jirayr Sefilyan and Tigran Khzmalyan joined the rally. They noted that they are where there is a people’s platform. said he had accepted Karapetyan’s invitation to participate in the rally as they sought to unite people against the tyrannical government. Manucharyan said the Armenian people should do the same in one day. He says people should decide this day. Karapetyan requested the people to show a red card to the government.
