According to the World Bank’s recent report the prices of food continue growing, resulting in the increase of the number of the poor, especially in developing countries. According to experts, in the past three months the prices of food have grown by over 15 % in the world, and in the past year the growth of prices reached 30%. The highest growth of prices concerned mostly the grain, sugar and natural oil. “The impact of price growth could worsen the tense environment especially in the Middle East and Central Asia, the opposition movements will grow, which may have economic and political results,” said the WB president Robert Zoellick.
