Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!!!

11/01/2011

The estimations and opinions about the achievements of Armenia in 2010 would be better if Armenia’s goal as a state was clear and the political, cultural and economic goals were clear as well. It is not about the declarative announcements or strategies but the real thinking, perception of the world and attitude, which is more psychological aspect, but it misses in the lives of the government, opposition and the society. Maybe this is the reason why the wishes and dreams in Armenia are very subjective: the authorities want to keep the power and be reproduced, the opposition wants to get the power, and the people want to survive and emigrate. As a result, as always this year was full of achievements for the authorities, and it was full of failures and losses for the opposition… The people are not distinguished in these achievements or failures. For this reason the opinions in the end of this year, spoken both by the political powers and media, are very interesting. The only thing the people can hope for is the optimism delivered to them by TV companies that next year something will change to the better. As the 2011 is the year of the rabbit, we may wish braveness and decisiveness both to the authorities and the opposition. We wish them to be strong but not strong with their leverages and tools to press on others, but for appreciating the skills of others, helping them, being fair in brave in promises and ideas, and not relating to people like to “bunnies”. The next edition of the 168 Hours will be issued on January 20, 2011. Happy New Year and Merry Christmas!!!
