The former member of the political board of Republic party Suren Surenyants thinks that the current government has succeeded in bring to zero the possibility of extraordinary elections due to various initiatives. After Astana summit he had become confident that the window of extraordinary elections is closed for Armenia. “A situation is created when the possibility of extraordinary elections has become very low. Unfortunately the consequences of the tragedies of March 1 are not annihilated. The people, who shot at innocent protesters, are not punished. In prisons we have 9 political prisoners. Therefore, we may say that almost three years after the events of March 1 the situation in the country has not radically changed,” he said by adding that as long as the culprits of March 1 are not identified and punished there can be no decent government formed in the country.
