Up to the president to decide

Before the approval of the recent agenda of the parliament Heritage faction representative Armen Martirosyan asked the speaker of the parliament Hovik Abrahamyan whether it would not be good to take out the Armenia-Turkey protocols form the agenda of the parliament generally as Wikileaks has revealed Turkey’s real goal is signing these protocols. In answer to this question the speaker said that the process of ratification of the protocols is frozen and the parliament can do nothing there. “It is the proposal of the president and the government of Armenia to ratify these protocols in the parliament. You know that the RA president has stopped the process of ratification of those protocols which are in the parliament now. The parliament does not have the power to recall the protocols and it is up to the president to decide,” said Hovik Abrahamyan.
