Renown “With the Kardashians” reality show star Kim Kardashian’s fan site has posted a very interesting note. It turns out that many of her fans don’t know that she has Armenian roots. In her blog she spoke about her meeting with her root country’s prime-minister at a benevolent event organized by the Armenian Apostolic Church every year.
She wrote: “Khloe, Rob and I went to meet the prime minister of Armenia! There was a charity event for the orphanages in Armenia and we went to support. We were taught how to greet the prime minister and also met Mark Geragos (he is a famous attorney who was friends with my dad)! Anything we can do to lend our support to our heritage we gladly do! We are dying to go to Armenia! Hopefully this year we will go! No one in my family has been back, and it’s really important to me that we go!”

Certainly she means the Armenian prime-minister Tigran Sargsyan. According to another post in a different web site, she has also met with archbishop Hovnan Terterian and made a photo with him and her family. This event was organized in participation of 350 guests. During the benevolent event Kim Kardashian donated 90.000USD to the fund of Children of Echmiadzin for orphans.
Kim Kardashian and her sister have also donated to the All-Armenian Benevolent Fund. However, we don’t know how much. “We, the Kardashians are half-Armenian and I am donating money to the Pan-Armenian Benevolent Fund. I want everybody to follow my example and support the Armenian Fund,” said the celebrity.
The marathon of this year was entitled “water is life” and the money raised during the TV marathon will be spent to solve the drinking and agricultural water problems in Artsakh. This year the fund raised USD20,8 million.
