The head of the Russian TV academy foundation Michael Shvidkoy has given a prize to journalist Manana Aslamazyan in the nomination of “Individual contribution in the Russian TV”. After the incident in the customs service Aslamazyan had to leave from Russia, and her Internews organization, which organized trainings of independent journalism for participants from the region had to shut down. The prize award took place in the Russian Exhibition Hall in Moscow, where usually the international congress of broadcasting companies takes place. The audience met Aslamazyan with long applauding. Even when giving the prize Shvidkoy made a joke and said that Aslamazyan was receiving that prize after the ritual of handing it over in St. Petersburg. “If the prize was given to you there in Piter, nobody would notice that you are really in the focus of PR campaign,” said Shvidkoy. “I am happy to receive this prize in the presence of my friends. Many thanks to all those people who have voted for me. I will never forget it because I have not been in the country for about three years but people remembered me and voted for me,” said M. Aslamazyan. She also said that she was thinking of returning to Russia. “I am thinking of returning to Russia but for the coming year I have a contract and I work in Armenia,” said Aslamazyan.
