Yesterday MP Shavarsh Kocharyan organized a seminar on Constitutional amendments in the small hall of the American University. At first he criticized the existing Constitution. Then he started to praise the Constitutional Draft and amendments. And at the end he said, that there were some provisions in the Draft which were not so good as the same provisions in the existing constitution. Sh. Kocharyan thinks that the Constitutional Draft is a good development and is much better than the previous one. He evaluated the existing Constitution as “1” and the Constitutional Draft as “3” (by 5-score rating). By the way, Shavarsh Kochartyan considered the provision regarding the president’s immunity, about which people and oppositionists complain much as positive development too.
