Restaurant in the place of a church

The Armenians of Heavenville of the Eastside of the US wish to sell the Armenian Church and the city committee of monument protection wishes to maintain it. According to the Associated Press the ones that defend the church claim that the church, which has a 163-year-old history, is being sold to a construction firm that is going to build a Burger King instead. The member of the committee Christian Miller says that it is big nonsense to build a restaurant in the place of the Apostolic Church. The committee thinks that the destruction of the church will spoil the look of the city. The servants of the church are saying that they need 1.5 million USD to fully reconstruct the church and they have to sell it build a new one. The chair of the local Armenian community Scott Sahakian told Eagle Tribune that the attempts of banning the deal are religious and ethnical persecutions.
