The leader of the Turkish Strong Turkey party Tuna Beklevich and deputy president of the same party Baybars Orsek were taken to the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia to give clarifications for the statements they made during a press-conference held yesterday. “In their press-conference they said that they had crossed the state border of Armenia. That is why they were invited to the National security Service office to give clarifications,” informed the NSS press office to the Radio Liberty. During the press-conference the president of the Strong Turkey party re-affirmed that they had crossed the Armenian-Turkish border through the river Akhuryan. On October 11 the Turkish media published information writing that the president of Strong Turkey party Tuna Beklevich, deputy president of the same party Baybars Orsek, the head of the Kars region administration office Dyundar Gyultekin and their delegation had crossed the Armenian-Turkish border to protest against the close borders and entered the territory of Armenia by crossing the river Akhuryan. However, the Russian Federal security services in charge of the protection of the border inform that nobody has crossed the Armenian-Turkish border. In answer to the statement of the Russian army service Tuna Beklevich pointed out on the concrete point where they had crossed the river. “That point is in 150 meters to the North from the ruins of Ani, the historical three-level bridge, where the river is very narrow and not deep. On both sides of the river there were candy papers, which means that this part of the river is used,” he said.
